sparkly jewelry isn’t usually my thing, unless it’s shaped like AWESOME city skylines made of tiny landmark buildings — If It’s Hip, It’s Here: New Architectural Rings From Philippe Tournaire - Archipolis, Paris, Moscow, New York & More.

Marian Bantjes is my new designer-obsession. She’s a graphic/text designer, she uses lots of flowy cursive, intricate patterns, and tiny repeating motifs in her work. This is an infographic she made showing all of the major artistic influences on her work. Completely brilliant.

The whole ensemble is pretty, but I’m looking at that cluster of lamps. I want to turn it with one switch.

cool technique, poking holes in photos and putting them in front of a lightbox. instant glittery, almost radioactive.

I love these little fruit-shaping cages, even if they might be a little gimmicky. I like wondering how strong that plastic must be to stop the plant from breaking out of it. And if you look close, it has little holes poked to let the fruit breathe!

sweet calendar that keeps time based on how much ink has been absorbed into a strip of absorbant paper. the strip of paper is shaped into the numbers of the calendar, and is porous enough to move the ink through each number on the proper day. I really love how this gives a more observable & tangible feeling of time passing.
