I love these little fruit-shaping cages, even if they might be a little gimmicky. I like wondering how strong that plastic must be to stop the plant from breaking out of it. And if you look close, it has little holes poked to let the fruit breathe!

sweet calendar that keeps time based on how much ink has been absorbed into a strip of absorbant paper. the strip of paper is shaped into the numbers of the calendar, and is porous enough to move the ink through each number on the proper day. I really love how this gives a more observable & tangible feeling of time passing.
